This is really a great suspense...!!!!! read it carefully to know what it is... a man is driving down the road and breaks down near a monastery. he goes to the monastery, knocks on the door, and says, my car broke down. do you think i could stay the night? the monks graciously accept him, feed him dinner, even fix his car. as the man tries to fall asleep, he hears a strange sound. the next morning, he asks the monks what the sound was, but they say, we can't tell you. you're not a monk. the man is disappointed but thanks them anyway and goes about his merry way. some years later, the same man breaks down in front of the same monastery. the monks again accept him, feed him, even fix his car. that night, he hears the same strange noise that he had heard years earlier. the next morning, he asks what it is, but the monks reply, we can't tell you. you're not a monk. the man says, all right, all right. i'm dying to know. if the only way i can find out what that sound was is to become a monk, how do i become a monk? the monks reply, you must travel the earth and tell us how many blades of grass there are and the exact number of sand pebbles when you find these numbers, you will become a monk. the man sets about his task. some 45 years later, he returns and knocks on the door of the monastery. he says, i have traveled the earth and have found what you have asked for. there are 145,236,284,232 blades of grass and 231,281,219,999,129,382 sand pebbles on the earth. the monks reply, congratulations. you are now a monk. we shall now show you the way to the sound. the monks lead the man to a wooden door where the head monk says, the sound is right behind that door. the man reaches for the knob, but the door is locked. he says, real funny. may i have the key? the monks give him the key, and he opens the door. behind the wooden door is another door made of stone. the man demands the key to the stone door. the monks give him the key, and he opens it, only to find a door made of ruby. he demands another key from the monks, who provide it. behind that door is another door, this one made of sapphire, so it went until the man had gone through doors of emerald, silver, topaz, and amethyst. finally, the monks say, this is the last key to the last door. the man is relieved to know end. he unlocks the door, turns the knob and behind that door he is amazed to find the source of that strange sound. . . . . . . . . . . . . but he can't tell you what it is because you're not a monk :p

Are you happy? we r all searching for happiness. in achieving this happiness our attitude in life plays a crucial role. after years of hard & dedicated service to his company, ajay was being appointed at an elegant reception as the new director. it was a small function where his wife anita , a home executive & some of the wives of the other persons in top management were also present. in an adjacent room, ann, the wife of the ceo of the company, asked ajay's wife a very odd & usual question; "does ur husband make u happy?" the husband, ajay, who at that moment was not at her side, but was sufficiently near to hear the question, paid attention to the conversation, sitting up slightly, feeling secure, even filling his chest lightly in pride & hope, would definitely not publically lower or degrade her husband, would answer affirmatively, since she had always been there for him during their marriage and generally in life. nevertheless, to both his & the others' surprise, she replied simply; "no, no he doesn't make me happy…" the room became uncomfortably silent, as if everyone were listening to the spouse's response. there was a sudden coldness in the air. the husband was petrified. a frown appeared on his face. he couldn't believe what his wife was saying, especially at such an important occasion for him. to the amazement of her husband & of everyone! anita sat up firmly & explained in a modest but stern tone to the other wives who were present; "no, he doesn't make me happy… i am happy. the fact that i am happy or not doesn't depend on him, but on me. god has granted each of us intellect & discretion to reason, interpret & decide. god made me the person upon which my happiness depends. i make the choice to be happy in each situation & in each moment of my life. if my happiness were to depend on other people, on other things or circumstances on the face of this earth, i would be in serious trouble! over my life i have learned a couple of things: i decide to be happy & the rest is a matter of 'experiences or circumstances' like helping, understanding, accepting, listening, consoling & with my spouse, i have lived & practiced this many times. honestly true happiness lies in being content" relieved & reassured, a smile was clearly noticed on ajay's face. moral: happiness will always be found in contentment, forgiveness & in loving yourself & others. to truly love is difficult, it is to forgive unconditionally, to live, to take the "experiences or circumstances" as they are, facing them together & being happy with conviction. there are those who say i cannot be happy : · because i am sick. · because i have no money. · because it's too cold. · because they insulted me. · because someone stopped loving me. · because someone didn't appreciate me. but what u don't know is that u can be happy even though u r sick, whether it is too hot, whether u have money or not, whether someone has insulted u, or someone didn't love u, or hasn't valued u. being happy is an attitude about life & each one of us must decide! being happy, depends on u !

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. the family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. as they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. when the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, things aren't always what they seem" the next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. after sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. when the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. the younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen? the first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused. the second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.. "things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "when we stayed in the basement of the mansion, i noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, i sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it." "then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife i gave him the cow instead. things aren't always what they seem." sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. if you have faith, you just need to trust that every out come is always to your advantage. you just might not know it until some time later... some people come into our lives and quickly go.. some people become friends and stay awhile... leaving beautiful footprints on our hearts... and we are never quite the same because we have made a good friend!!

A poor couple lived in a small village in india. they had only 1 son. they gave him the best education. son graduated as an engineer in the nearby city eventually he got married to a rich girl. initially, they lived with his parents in the village. soon the wife got tired of village life & persuaded her husband to move to the city leaving his old parents in the village. as time went, the husband saw an ad in the newspaper about a job vacancy in u.s he was successful & lived in u.s for 20 years with his wife. regularly, he used to send money to his parents eventually with time, he stopped & forgot about his parents whether they ever existed. every day he pray & immediately after each prayer he used to see someone telling him in a dream that his prayer is not accepted. one day, he related this story to a 'pious aalim' who advised him to go back to india to visit his parents. the man flew to india & reached the boundary of his village. everything was changed over there. he could not find his house. so he asked to the head of the village about the whereabouts of his parents. the head of the village directed him to a house & said: "in this house, lives an old blind lady who lost her husband a few months ago. she has a son who migrated to us 20 years back & never came back again. what an unfortunate man." son enters that home & finds his mother on the bed. he tip-toed as he did not want to wake her up. he hears his mother whispering or mumbling something. he gets closer to hear his mothers voice. this is what his mother was saying: "god ! i am now very old & blind. my husband just died. there is no one to lower me in my grave when i die. so please send my son to fullfill my last wish". this is the ending of a story where the prayer of a mother is accepted. a human body can bear only 45 del (units) of pain. but at the time of giving birth, a mother feels upto 57 del (units) of pain. this is similar to 20 bones getting fractured, all at the same time. this is just to tell u the extent, to which a mother loves her child. so, love ur mom till the end of ur life. the lady with whom u fight almost everyday, suffered so much pain just to give u a beautiful life.

The witty vivek! when swami vivekanand was studying law at the university college, london, a white professor, whose last name was peters, disliked him intensely. one day, mr. peters was having lunch at the dining room when came along with his tray and sat next to the professor. the professor said, "mr vivekanand , you do not understand. a pig and a bird do not sit together to eat." vivekanandji looked at him as a parent would a rude child and calmly replied, "you do not worry professor. i'll fly away," and he went and sat at another table. mr. peters, reddened with rage, decided to take revenge. the next day in class he posed the following question: "mr.vivekanand , if you were walking down the street and found a package, and within was a bag of wisdom and another bag with money, which one would you take ?" without hesitating, vivekanandji responded, "the one with the money, of course." mr. peters , smiling sarcastically said, "i, in your place, would have taken the wisdom." swami vivekanand shrugged and responded, "each one takes what he doesn't have." mr. peters, by this time was fit to be tied. so great was his anger that he wrote on swami vivekanand's exam sheet the word "idiot" and gave it to swami vivekanand. vivekanandji took the exam sheet and sat down at his desk trying very hard to remain calm while he contemplated his next move. a few minutes later, swami vivekanand got up, went to the professor and told him in a dignified polite tone, "mr. peters, you signed the sheet, but you did not give me the grade." don't mess with intelligent indians one of the best messeges ever read!
