Ravish Kumar reviews some of the assurances made in the Congress party's manifesto ahead of the 2019 general elections. 4 lakh vacancies in the Central government are to be filled within the end of the financial year and the state governments will be asked to expedite filling up another 18 lakh vacancies. Congress President Rahul Gandhi also mentioned in his speech that 6% of GDP would be allotted for education from the existing 3%.

Will state governments pull up their socks and ensure to fill up the vacancies within a year? Is merely spending more enough to improve the standard of education in the country? Will the expenditure be limited to just constructing swanky new college buildings when vacancies for teacher posts are not filled on time? We ask on Prime Time. (Audio in Hindi)
