भोपाल से बीजेपी की उम्मीदवार प्रज्ञा ठाकुर ने भले ही अपने बयान से किनारा कर लिया, लेकिन हेमंत करकरे के बारे में उनके बयान का असर गया नहीं है. प्रज्ञा ठाकुर भले ही इस बयान को छोड़ अपने राजनीतिक प्रचार में आगे निकल गईं हैं मगर उनके बयान हेमंत करकरे के साथ काम करने वाले पुलिस अफसरों की अंतरात्मा को चुनौती दे रहे हैं. जिस अफसर की ईमानदारी और पेशेवर तरीके से काम करने का लोहा सब मानते हो, उस पर उठ रही ऊंगली उन्हें चुप नहीं करा पा रही है.
